Another's opinions ring loudly in your mind as you stumble upon an old vinyl record sleeve on a small table before you. You dust it off quickly and gently as you reach to grab it, but the title and cover art do not appear to be of a band or group you have heard before. You quietly slip the vinyl record from it's sleeve and immediately take notice of the unruly state this record is in. A few cracks run smoothly toward the center of the disc, yet the vinyl remains whole spare for a few chips towars the edge of the vinyl. The grooves in the record are deep and worn. It likely does not sound anything like it originally did anymore. This vinyl could fall apart at any second.

As you gently place the vinyl back in it's sleeve you begin to notice; You have criticized the album without ever listening to it. You instinctively know better than to blindly trust a single first impression. You feel the urge to give your full attention to a full listen of a new album, and know you will be enriched for it.
